Kayla Burchfield MSSW, LCSW, LCASA

Kayla was born and raised in Manchester, Kentucky. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors in Social Work in 2016.

Upon graduation, Kayla relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, where she began her career working in an inpatient psychiatric and detox treatment facility. It was during this time that she realized her passion for helping those in need and decided to pursue her Masters Degree. Kayla graduated in 2019 from the University of Louisville with Masters of Social Work. Shortly after, she obtained her LCSWA. Kayla has varied experience in the field working with groups and individuals, performing clinical assessments, as well as in leadership and management roles. Kayla brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise to her role as Therapist at New Waters Recovery.
