Jerry Arnold, MA, LCASA

Born and raised in Durham, N.C., Jerry graduated with his bachelor’s in Sociology/Criminology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010 and received his master’s degree in clinical psychology from North Carolina Central University in 2020.  While completing his master’s program he was placed in the Department of Adult Corrections for his internship, where he was offered a job following graduation.  He spent 4 years there, running both the group therapy and residential mental health programs.  It was during this time that he developed a passion for working with those that struggled with co-occurring disorders through a person-centered approach.

With over a decade of management and leadership under his belt, acquired through various academic and professional roles, Jerry embarked on a new chapter in January 2024 by joining the New Waters Recovery staff and marking the beginning of his impactful journey into the realm of recovery, where his expertise and passion converge to make a positive difference in the lives of clients.
