Ben has spent almost 25 years of his life in North Carolina. He graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Sound and Lighting Design and worked in the entertainment industry for about a decade. In June 2020, marking a pivotal moment in his life, he decided to live a life of sobriety. He also felt compelled to help the next person find recovery. Ben began his recovery career in sober living, where he was the program director of multiple facilities in Asheville, North Carolina, overseeing ten houses with 93 beds. Ben has also worked as a Behavioral Health Technician at an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Ben started his career at New Waters Recovery as a recovery advocate and quickly climbed the ranks to lead recovery advocate and now assistant director of admissions. His ability to connect with clients and families makes him an integral part of our staff. Ben takes pride in walking clients and their loved ones through the admissions process to New Waters Recovery and finds gratitude daily being a small part of a client’s journey.
