Justin has more than 10 years of direct experience working in the field of mental health and substance use treatment. Justin earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from South University in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Justin has worked in a variety of settings throughout his career including psychiatric acute stabilization, psychiatric partial hospitalization, and both in-patient and out-patient substance use treatment. Justin has extensive experience in clinical counseling as well as program development and organizational leadership. Prior to joining New Waters, Justin served as Clinical Director with Gupta Psychiatry and Wellness, a substance abuse partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program in Raleigh NC.
Justin has assisted in the development, operation, and leadership of several residential and out-patient substance abuse treatment programs and believes deeply in the relationship between access to quality clinical programing and the individual’s ability to achieve sustained sobriety. Justin takes pride in working with individuals and families struggling with substance use disorders and helping them work toward freedom from the disease of addiction.
