Thomas Hogshead

In personal recovery, Thomas worked with Healing Transitions from 2010 through 2021. He spent seven years working in their twenty-bed detox gaining an in-depth knowledge of the admissions process, overseeing safe withdrawals, and discharges into the residential recovery program. Within the organization, he worked with veterans, the family group, and on the development team. He played a significant role in raising funds for their highly successful capital campaign, “Recovery Can’t Wait,” to expand beds and facilities space to serve more than 500 men and women in the organization’s peer-run recovery program.

As a longtime member of the Raleigh community, Thomas is regularly sought out for advice on treatment and the recovery processes. He is often invited to share his story of recovery carrying an unwavering message of hope. He has been instrumental in navigating the local market by further developing relationships for staging, marketing, and introductions to leaders in the field. Thomas’ broad treatment experience, connections to community partners, and dedication to helping people seek out recovery make him an essential part of the New Waters team.
