Erica Cuni, MS, LMFT, CIMPH, comes to NWR with almost 20 years of experience as a Psychotherapist, Clinical Director, and Adjunct & Clinical Professor, who taught graduate-level courses on human development, intergenerational family processes, dysfunctional family processes, couple’s therapy and supervision.
She’s a traditionally trained Marriage and Family Therapist with an attachment theory based, trauma-informed approach (IFS Level 1 & Dr. Bessel van der Kolk’s Traumatic Stress Studies Certificates). Plus, she has extensive training as an Integrative Mental Health Professional (Polyvagal Theory, Gut health, Reiki Master/Teacher, Tapping, Essential Oils, and Meditation).
Through her career, she has worked with the Dept of Corrections, Veteran’s Affairs, Public School System, Juvenile Justice System and has experience at almost every level of care, from in-home therapy, residential, DOC locked-down facility, K-12 school system, and children psychiatric outpatient clinic. In addition, she’s owned a private practice.
Recently relocated from Connecticut, Erica enjoys spending time with her 9 year-old rescue pitbull, visiting the farmer’s market, and public speaking. Known as, “The Burnout Professor,” she is a leading Integrative Mental Health Expert, Keynote Speaker, and Fellow Survivor who is on a mission to empower people world-wide to successfully manage their mental health so they can thrive consciously.
