Ryan Jarrell is a Triangle local who has seen firsthand the damage undertreated substance use and mental health disorders can wreak. With years of both personal and professional recovery experience, Ryan is passionate about decreasing the stigma associated with substance use disorder and offering people dignified, individualized treatment.
As Continuing Care Coordinator, Ryan works to ensure that people’s journey after New Waters is as pleasant as their experience at New Waters. Working with a range of industry allies to offer a diversified array of treatment options, Ryan works to ensure that clients and their families are offered a holistic range of support, whether it be residential treatment, outpatient family therapy or anywhere in-between. As a person with unfortunate personal experience not adhering to treatment professionals’ recommendation, Ryan knows the true value a comprehensive aftercare plan can offer someone struggling with substance use disorder and accessory mental health issues.
Outside of work, Ryan lives with his fiancée and far too many animals in their Durham home. He also enjoys yoga and meditation.
