Eric has 11 years in the nursing field as a Registered Nurse prior to joining the New Waters Recovery team. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Clarion University. Eric is a native Pittsburgher, where he began his career working in acute care and trauma. His love of nursing has led him to develop a comprehensive lens of the nursing field, from the front lines of the pandemic providing care to patients and support to their loved ones; to developing policies and procedures in nursing departments ensuring quality care to patients. Eric moved to the Triangle 4 years ago, where he found his calling in Addiction Treatment.
Eric has been in Recovery for over 10 years and through this recovery journey he has experienced true compassion and humility. He recognizes that making that change can be overwhelming and continues to provide that same compassion to others making the courageous step into recovery. Eric believes that providing quality care as well as empathy to individuals and their families is integral in the recovery process. As the Director of Nursing at New Waters Recovery, Eric hopes to provide support, not only to New Waters Recovery’s clients, but also to his nursing team as they continue to provide care with dignity and respect.
