Desiree Susini comes to New Waters Recovery Team with more than 30 years of cross-industry experience in business development, sales and marketing. Desiree is well known in the recovery community as the person to go to help families.
Having been personally impacted by several family members in need of behavioral health care services, Desiree began her career working as a Regional Outreach Representative for a behavioral health care facility treating substance use disorders. From there, she was recruited to help start a new Intensive Outpatient Center in the Raleigh, N.C. area. Her contributions helped it to grow into one of the top programs in the area.
Desiree was most recently at Acadia Healthcare, serving as a treatment placement specialist responsible for placing clients with PTSD/trauma, primary mental health, eating disorders, chronic pain, substance use disorder and chronic pain. Her work engaged clients with programs both inside and outside of Acadia’s network of facilities.
She is passionate about helping both clients and their families through periods of transition throughout all levels of care. Her deep understanding of processes paired with her unmatched network has cultivated valuable relationships both locally and nationally.
