Christina is our Director of Nursing at New Waters Recovery. She brings a wide variety of experience to her role including management, leadership, education, milieu management and de-escalation techniques. Christina is an integral part of the treatment team at New Waters Recovery and utilizes her skills to better serve clients in their healing journey. Christina earned her RN, BSN, at University at Buffalo. She moved to North Carolina in 2009 from New York to be closer to her family. Christina has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including medical surgical, labor and delivery, an adolescent group home and home care, but her passion is with acute detoxification. Christina comes to us New Waters Recovery from Holly Hill Hospital in Raleigh NC, where she served clients struggling with acute detox and psychiatric conditions for the past eleven years. She most recently worked in the role of Hospital Supervisor, managing their sixty-four bed facility. Christina believes that addiction is an illness, not a lifestyle, and that clients are best served from a holistic approach. Christina looks forward to serving our clients, as well as our wonderful team of experienced nurses and staff here at New Waters Recovery.
